Introducing: 31 Days of Small Joys (Our New Monthly Series)

There’s a secret I want to share with you: the best moments of your life aren’t always the big ones.

Sure, the milestones matter. The achievements. The celebrations. The moments you mark on your calendar as “this was important.”

But the real magic? It lives in the small joys. The unexpected smile. The first sip of morning tea. The way sunlight hits your face. The text from someone you love. The perfect moment when everything just feels… right.

These tiny moments are everywhere. They’re woven through every single day. And most of the time, we’re too busy looking for the big moments to notice them.

What is 31 Days of Small Joys?

This May, we’re launching a special new series that will become part of our monthly rhythm: 31 Days of Small Joys. Starting now and recurring on the first of every month, we’ll spend an entire month celebrating the small, precious moments that make life beautiful.

Every single day for the next 31 days, I’m going to share a checklist—simple ideas, gentle prompts, tiny invitations—designed to help you find and notice the small joys hiding in your everyday life. And next month? We’ll do it all again, discovering new small joys as the seasons change.

Some days it might be something you do. Some days it might be something you notice. Some days it might be something you sit with, quiet and present, and just… feel.

But every day? Every day is an opportunity to collect small joys.

Why Small Joys Matter

Here’s what I’ve learned: happiness isn’t something you find once and keep forever. It’s not a destination you arrive at.

Happiness is a practice. It’s a muscle you build by exercising it every single day. It’s a skill you develop by practicing presence, gratitude, and gentleness with yourself.

And the best way to build that muscle? Small joys.

When you spend 31 days training your brain to notice tiny moments of beauty, you retrain your entire nervous system. You start to see differently. You start to feel differently. You start to move through the world with more lightness, more presence, more permission to be happy.

And here’s the thing: small joys are always available. You don’t need perfect conditions. You don’t need to wait for the right moment. You don’t need anything except the willingness to notice.

How to Participate

Each day, visit the blog for the daily checklist. It’s simple:

  • Read the prompt for the day
  • Try the suggestions that resonate with you
  • Notice what you find — small joys are sneaky; sometimes they show up in unexpected ways
  • Share them if you want to (in your journal, in your heart, or with someone you love)
  • Come back tomorrow for the next day’s invitation

There’s no pressure. No “doing it right.” Some days you might do all the things. Some days you might do one. Some days you might just read and feel held by the idea that someone else is out there looking for small joys too.

All of it counts.

A Gentle Invitation

This series is an invitation to slow down just a little bit. To pause. To look around and ask: “Where is the beauty right now? Where is the joy? What tiny moment can I collect today?”

It’s an invitation to remember that happiness is not something that happens to you—it’s something you notice, cultivate, and celebrate.

And it’s an invitation to do it together, throughout the entire month of May.

Day 1 Starts Now

The checklist for Day 1 is live and waiting for you. But today, I want you to know: this series exists because I believe in small joys. I believe in you noticing them. I believe in the power of collecting them, moment by moment, day by day.

And I love that we’ll return to this practice each month—a gentle, recurring invitation to slow down and remember what makes life beautiful.

So today, we begin.

Let’s find the small joys together. Let’s notice the beauty. Let’s celebrate the tiny moments that, added up, become a life well-lived.

I can’t wait to see what you discover. 💕✨
