Yesterday, I was having coffee with a friend. Halfway through the conversation, I realized something—I wasn’t thinking about my to-do list, my phone, or what I needed to do next. I was simply there, listening, laughing, present.
In a World of Distractions
It’s so easy to be physically present but mentally absent. Our phones buzz, our minds wander, and we miss the moments unfolding right in front of us.
But presence is a gift. When someone truly listens to you—not planning what they’ll say next, not checking their watch—you feel it. You feel valued. Seen. Heard.
A Practice Worth Cultivating
Today, I’m choosing to be more present:
- With the people I love
- In the conversations that matter
- In the small moments that are easy to overlook
- With myself, honoring my own thoughts and feelings
What About You?
